Film

In 2012 I co-founded Skyfire Productions in Chicago, which has produced webseries pilots, short films, and an award-winning feature. I served as executive producer on all productions, juggling fundraising, project-management, creative leadership, and filling in as needed in production and post.

Humble Beginnings

In 2012 and 2013, Skyfire Produced 2 pieces of media: The First a webseries for the Belmont Chamber of Commerce, called "The Chicago View," the second a short film called "Yearly Review." I wrote/executive produced both projects, leading small teams of filmmakers from inception through post production.

Feature Film "Hunter"

In 2013, "Hunter," a feature-length Horror/Thriller Script I wrote won "Top 50" in its category at SXSW's screenplay competition. Through Skyfire Productions, I raised $125,000 of private equity capital to produce "Hunter," which shot in Chicago in early 2014. I served as Executive Producer on the project, negotiation and hiring 150+ individual contributors at union rates, guiding collaboration and the film's vision from inception through a lengthy post-production process.

Alternate Reality Marketing

In advance of the launch, I created an "Alternate Reality Game," presenting the central mystery of the narrative as a real-life true-crime case on Reddit. The project garnered 20,000 impressions between  on a $1000 budget leading up to launch.

Distribution and Critical Acclaim

Hunter was accepted into 5 international film festivals, won "Best Feature" in one and "Best Horror Feature in another," and was nominated for best feature in a third. It was lauded by award-winning film critic Richard Roeper in both a written review and in segment on Good Morning America. Today the film can be watched on streaming platforms. It currently holds a 94% audience approval rating on rotten tomatoes.  More information is available the film's website
